Elysium

I've gazed in the starlit eyes of love,
And found the promise of hope again.
The shreds of dreams in my trove
Danced around, although in pain.

I've embraced the fading light inside, 

And slept at once in the cozy peace.
The empty nightmares silently preyed
On the ebbing waves of saner glees.

I've drank the elixir of content life,
And stood awaiting heaven's kiss.
The aching bits of my whole being
Sought in vain the cove of bliss.

I've seen afar the lost soul's ground,
The vast unknown beyond the bound.
Oh, Elysium! You're always around
Though in my sorrows I'm drowned.
